I am a Biologist by education, BS from Kansas State, worked most of my career as an electrical engineer, designing real time controls for industry and writing software. But art and music have always been my passion. At every opportunity when in college I would sneak over to the art department just to look around and every elective course was taken in the art department.

I have for the last twenty five years or so made fine musical instruments as a hobby. Here are some photos of some of my instruments and my leaf table.

When I am not making rocking chairs I still enjoy making musical instruments, I do not make guitars any more but I do have a couple harp designs kicking around in my head that I think are very worth pursuing and will get around to them this year I hope. (If the rocking chair orders ever slow down, or maybe I could get some help) I also have always had a strong desire to make a violin. I have been buying every book I can find on the art of violin making over the past year or so and after I build my new harps I hope to start on that fiddle! Oh - I've re-designed the resophonic guitar (dobro) finally and I really like the sound and the looks of it.
